I'm currently trying to optimize the whole friendica.me and opensocial.at Friendica nodes, because I recently found some memory leaks and other performance issues. Because of that, I do need to restart both servers sometimes in the next hours.
So please be patient. I hope the nodes are more performant afterwards :)

Ich versuche gerade Friendica.me und Opensocial.at zu optimieren. Dabei stieß ich auf ein Speicherproblem im Server, das ich gerade zu beheben versuche. Durch diese Behebung kann es in den nächsten Stunden zu vermehrt Neustarts kommen.
Ich bitte um etwas Nachsicht/Geduld und hoffe, dass die zwei Instanzen danach wieder flotter sind :)

First announcement | Twitter integration stop
This is the first post in the Friendica.me forum.
And sadly a post, not everyone will be happy about it. Twitter will possible introduce a paywall for using its API tomorrow. If so, this node will stop supporting the direct Twitter integration as well. This means that posting or mirroring Twitter posts - using a Friendica account - won't be able anymore.
I'm sorry about it and hope that Twitter will regret it's decision soon to make the Twitter integration possible again..

•Leider hast du Recht, dass der Server langsam ist. Leider hast du mit den Systemanforderungen unrecht. Ich hab zwei größere Knoten hier im Betrieb und die Datenbank alleine verbraucht über 90-100GB RAM und die 16 CPU Kerne glühen durchgehend. Bin ständig am optimieren und mittlerweile fließen da ~100euro im Monat an Kosten in den Server. Es gibt auch einen Bug, mit dem ich gerade kämpfe, der die Prozesse blockiert nach einiger Zeit.
Also ich bin nicht untätig, aber ich denke, dass du Recht hast, dass es viel zu mühsam ist, solche großen Knoten zu betreiben in meiner privatzeit
Habe mir echt schon in letzter Zeit überlegt es einfach zu lassen..

Ehrlich gesagt schau ich mir gerade die Responsezeiten so durchschnittlich an, und SOOOO schlecht performt der Server in letzter Zeit gar nicht (hab mal den Profiler wieder aktiviert
Die "lokale Gemeinschaft" Seite baut sich bei mir in 0,2 Sekunden auf. Der Post von dir in 0,072 Sekunden, "globale Gemeinschaft" in 1,2 Sekunden
